It all begins with an idea: make products right here, where they are used.

That’s Project nōrd (pronounced nerd). Nord is German for "north," and with a slight twist of the umlaut, it describes us perfectly: total nerds for bike and outdoor gear made in the PNW.

While producing in the Pacific Northwest is core to who we are, our goal is bigger: make gear that’s superior in every aspect—better for the planet, and better in performance.

And honestly? Who wouldn’t feel a lot better hopping on a bikes to solve a design challenge at a local shop than rushing to the airport to catch an evening flight to Guangzhou?
